Audiologists are not salespeople. We are doctoral-level hearing healthcare professionals with extensive education and training . Our coursework includes the study of acoustics, anatomy and physiology of the auditory and vestibular systems, amplification, pediatric and medical audiology, auditory and vestibular rehabilitation, cochlear implants, auditory processing disorders and professional ethics. Katy and Dana have both achieved the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Hearing loss is a medical condition. Who do you trust to treat your hearing loss?
Empowering people with hearing impairment begins with efficient and accurate testing. Your comprehensive audiological evaluation includes a series of tests to determine the type, degree and configuration of hearing loss. This evaluation helps determine the underlying cause of your hearing loss and guides treatment decisions.
Our patients are often quoted up to $10,000 for premium hearing aids at other local offices. We provide the same premium technology for a fraction of the price. We also work with most insurance plans and discount programs and offer interest free financing in an effort to remove cost as an objection to amplification. We care how you hear and will work with you to find a hearing solution within your budget.
In most cases the cost of hearing aids includes an extensive warranty and service plan at no additional charge to you. Service plans are necessary to ensure a successful fitting. Follow up visits are scheduled either annually or semi-annually and include hearing rechecks, hearing aid firmware updates, reprogramming, cleanings, re-instruction, training, bluetooth connectivity checks and verification testing.
Our audiologists have been trusted by Greater Lansing patients for over two decades. Katy and Dana are both graduates of Michigan State University. They both have worked primarily in otolaryngology (ear, nose, throat) medical practices before Katy opened the Audiology Center of Charlotte to focus on providing hearing rehabilitation to the Greater Lansing community.
